新堂さんの提示された web page で配布されている
ftp://ftp.tue.nl/pub/tex/GB95/ispell-english.zip
を使用しましたが xyzzy 用の Ispell で通常どおり使えているようです．
（私は Ispell を初めて使うので定かではありません）

それと，
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/suzukinobue/daily.html
の
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/suzukinobue/pc/ispelldic.zip
は xyzzy 用のようです（私はダウンロードできませんでした）
試してみてはいかがでしょうか．
